Rising from a sliver of Long Island City’s street grid, this hotel turns its sharp-angled parcel into a vertical hinge clad in two complementary skins: a midnight-blue rainscreen that catches twilight reflections and a cream-colored panel grid that reads like woven linen in daylight. A glazed slot between the two volumes stages shifting bands of warm light from guest rooms, turning the façade into an abstract barcode after sunset. Street-level metalwork, generous planting beds, and a sheltered forecourt create a calm threshold between the fast-moving traffic and the intimate lobby within.
